Two nights...Two big wins! Wednesday night Caledonia Thunder AE team came out with some new line combinations that seemed to create more jump in the team. The team fought hard each shift and laid some hard hits on the team from Twin Centre. The solid checking lead to 37 shots on the Twin centre's goalie and a final score of 8-0. The scoring was nicely spread out among the lines and Josh "Rolie the goalie" Roloson earned another shut out. For a second straight game our defence was stellar and we have to give the forwards some credit for playing a solid two way game. The points went to Carter Rock (2G, 1A), Kyle Barton (1G, 2A), Jeffrey Armstrong (2G), Riley Gray (1G, 1A), Tyler Zatylny (1G, 1A), Spencer Stewart (1G, 1A), Cody French (2A), Zach Dehaan (2A). Single assists went to Leary, Brownell and Hodge.
Tuesday night the Thunder rolled into Norwich and took a period to get going but after that they dominated for a 6-0 victory. The attack was lead by Rock (2G), Stewart (1G), Stefureak (3A), Dehaan (1A) and Kyle "Big Man" Hodge with a season high (1G, 3A). That five man unit combined for 11 pts and proved to be too much for Norwich to handle. Ryan "Stone wall" Smith notched another Shut out and made big saves look easy. Overall the entire defence played very strong. The other goal scorer was Tyler Zatylny (2G) and assists went to Caleb Leary, Cody French and Riley Gray.
I have listed the forfiet from last Friday night's game in Paris as a win yet I don't believe it has been confirmed.
With the Big Silver Stick tournament coming up this weekend it was nice to see the Thunder work hard and win as a team!
Go Thunder Go!!!
